2025 Roadmap
Game Releases!
Thank you to everyone joining me on this journey! Your support means everything. If you run into any issues, I encourage you to join the Discord for assistance and feedback. As this is my first major release, I anticipate the first month or two will be focused on refining and improving the experience—but I’m excited to tackle it together.
Binary Nexus Expansion
The first expansion pack shakes up traditional human-based ballistic weapons and armor, introducing new parts, weapons, and ships to create fresh combinations. No sci-fi universe is complete without an evil AI faction!
Galactic Conquest Expansion
Once we’ve all had time to settle in with the first two factions, it’ll be time to expand the battlefield. After further playtesting, the official Conquest Mode rulebook will be released, bringing full-scale galactic warfare to the game with custom cards and models.
(Conquest rules are already included in the base game rulebook for anyone eager to try them, but they’ll be updated following the Binary Nexus faction release.)

Customizable Blueprints
Every ship in Armored Stars is fully customizable, with hundreds of possible configurations to explore.
Explore the Shipyard to discover the full range of parts and weapons at your disposal. Customize, experiment, and build the perfect fleet for your strategy.

Randomized Maps
Star systems are randomly generated each match, ensuring no two battles are the same. Adapt your strategy to new challenges and unpredictable battlefields.

Dynamic Space Warfare
Engage in fast-paced battles with a variety of weapons and tactics. Unleash precise ballistic strikes, harness the power of energy weapons, or control the battlefield with missiles, interceptors, and skirmishing maneuvers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Armored Stars requires 3D-printed models, which can be made using either FDM or resin printers. While resin printing offers higher-quality, durable models, it takes significantly longer to print a full set—including environments, incidentals, and fleets—due to the smaller average build plate size compared to FDM printers. Filament spool printers are highly recommend (at least for getting started).
The Armored Stars base game is completely free to play. This includes the rulebook, star system environmental pieces, incidental tokens, and the first faction—the Sol League. The Sol League set features 10 ships, 2 Armored Star-class stations, and all corresponding 2D card files for ships and parts. These core assets will always remain free, while future expansions will be available as paid content.
Zenu Games may not have the production scale of larger tabletop studios (yet!), but we operate a dedicated printer farm with high-quality resin and FDM printers. In our shop, you can order the base game, incidental pieces, and customize your own fleet—including models, bases, cards, and parts—to get in the game.
